Having loved the Aussie breed and raising them for over twenty years, I decided to take the plunge and jump into the show ring. As I searched for the perfect puppy to start showing with, I came across a beautiful black tri boy who was owned by Karen Ward. Karen had a very successful showing career, even taking her boy Fly (Bayshore Milwin Frequent Flyer) to a Grand Championship Title. When I contacted Karen about her available pup, I asked her why he was 12 weeks old and not already spoken for, and she told me that she had planned to keep him back for herself to show but decided she was too busy with her other dogs and 2 new litters to be able to put in the time to show this pup. I decided to go ahead and purchased the pup, even though I didn’t really know much about what a quality show pup should be. I figured if Karen was willing to show the pup, then this pup must have something special that would make him a contender in the showring. 

When I picked up Finn at the airport, I knew right away that he was indeed a special boy. In short order Finn attained his AKC Championship Title in 2018, and he has been producing beautiful pups for me that have the best temperament and the correct conformation of what an Aussie should be. As the foundation of my show career and breeding program, Finn has been a true dream Aussie to own, and I look forward to his offspring making their presence known the ring!! 

I’m forever grateful to Karen Ward for entrusting me with her precious pup, and I wish she was still alive today to see Finn come full circle as a Champion. Because Karen is no longer with us, I hope for the sake of Karen’s legacy, to carry on what she had started as a foundation with her dogs.
